6 women walking with backpacking packs on through the forest on a trail through the woods

2024 Guided
Backpacking Adventures

Trek roughly 26 miles through the pocono mountain region of Pennsylvania. This trail features a relatively low elevation profile, following several streams and encountering waterfalls along the way. Campsites are abundant and well placed, making this trail perfect for Beginners!

Backpack through the heart of the Quehanna and experience some serious forest magic as you walk through towering rows of mountain laurels in full bloom. The trail is stunning, with unique features hidden around every corner and an abundance of fresh streams and campsites.

By the end of September, the leaves will begin to change color and the scenery on this trek will be truly stunning! Cooler evening temperatures, well marked paths, and unique geologic features make this a standout choice for a trek aimed at improving backcountry skills.

Our backpacking expeditions are designed exclusively for women, by women, creating a supportive and inspiring environment where adventure and connection go hand in hand. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a beginner eager to explore the great outdoors, our guided trips offer a perfect blend of challenge, education, and camaraderie. Traverse through Pennsylvania's lush forests, where the beauty of nature unfolds at every step. From the serene pathways of Pinchot State Forest to the rolling hills of Southern Pennsylvania, our trips cater to a variety of interests and skill levels. Along the way, you'll learn essential outdoor skills, engage in meaningful conversations, and build lasting friendships. Experienced backpackers will have the chance to see other gear systems and improve their own set of skills. The goal of every RW adventure is to equip women with the skills they need to adventure solo and with confidence.
